Print Design: Order Reminder

A follow up flyer design that was intended to keep with the same color scheme and branding as the first as to tie them all together. This was specifically meant to remind those who had purchased their units in advance that they would be shipping soon and to remind those that had not yet, that they needed to act fast. It was simple, creative and to the point.

Print Design: Product Launch

This is a promotional flyer I designed for a distributor of the new HP Latex printer. The distributor was taking pre-orders and wanted to remind their customers to get their printer first - or "be first in line" to get one. They wanted a subtle message of being "green" and a fairly basic color palette with black, white, green and the HP blue, so that everything would really pop.

Event Design: Heritage Ladies Christmas Brunch

My church recently asked me to design the programs and some posters for their annual Christmas brunch. I was excited when I heard that they were going for a "vintage" theme. I love vintage Christmas post cards and I knew exactly what I wanted these to look
like. I purchased some vintage clip art that I used and then created some vintage looking letters to go along with the great font I used.

Note Card Design: Christmas Card

I've mentioned before that I love designing notecards, especially at Christmas. One of my favorite elements of design is Typography. The art of Type is incredible to me and I love working with letters. When I designed our personal Christmas cards I knew that I wanted to use letters to form some shape. I chose a Christmas tree and then took the words from Luke 2:10-11 to fill that shape. I was estatic with the result.

CEO Round Table Bumper Sticker

I do quite a bit of pro bono work for a conservative organization called CEO Round Table of SC. One of the projects they asked me to do was a bumper sticker that they could have printed and could pass around to get more awareness. They wanted something simple, clear and to the point. I was pleased with how this turned out, I had tried adding more elements to this, but it really just works best with the basic elements.

About

Little Red Flag Designs was created by and is led by Katy Campbell. All designs (outside of vendor logos & their supplied content) are the fruit of my work. Ever since I was little you couldn't pry a pencil out of my hand, whether it be the latest horse I was drawing, or some doodle I was creating, I was an avid little artist from an early age. Although my first dream was to be a veterinarian, and I graduated with a degree in Business Management, there has only ever been one career that can suit the passion within me, and that is design. I love color, clean lines, and a fresh approach to all things creative. Because of my work experience as the lead graphic designer at a major distributor in the graphics community and my opportunities as a freelance designer I feel capable of taking on most any design project. I look forward with great anticipation to the many projects that lay before me yet.

Marketing Tools: BDM Contact List

I had the opportunity to revise some of Tekgraf's old documents, and one of those was their BDM contact list. In the distributor world, the different lines and those representing them can change frequently, so having an updated list to hand out from time to time, can be a huge benefit, as it was for Tekgraf. This is the new format that I came up with, that once again I had tie back to their new branding.

Event Design: Dual Branded Tradeshow Booth

The difficulty with this project was to create a tradeshow booth that was dual branded (branded for both the distributor and the vendor) but still maintain a relatively cohesive look. I went with a black background as the main element for bringing the two sides of the booth together and played off of the logo colors of each respective party. Both the vendor and the distributor were thrilled with the results.

Event Design: Contex Confidential Flyer

I was asked to design an event that would introduce a new and very exclusive program to a select number of dealers. The client wanted an event that would give them the opportunity to sell this new program to their customers. This flyer was intended to be used in a call-out campaign, emailed as an invitation for them to attend not only the booth the client had at the tradeshow, but also as an invite to the special event they were throwing one of the nights. Because it was an early release of the program to a very select number of dealers, they wanted to go with a "confidential" theme, so that's exactly what I gave them.

Event Design: Soiree Flyer

I was asked to come up with an exclusive event to be held during a trade show that would introduce a new program to a very select set of dealers. They had requested that I create the feeling of exclusivity and importance. I used their logo to create the dramatic red and yellow flags at the bottom, and used a black background to elude to the event's exclusive and secretive nature. Although they ended up going with the second option we designed, this option was a fun alternative.

Invitation Design: Soft Baby Bohemian in Pink

This was one of my favorite results out of a recent baby shower invite project I did. It's very soft and sweet and evokes baby girl. The colors could easily be changed for a boy and the text could always go another direction, but I think this design is most suited for an expected girl. The light floral and dainty little border really create a magical little design fit for any baby girl.

Invitation Design: Baby Makes Three Floral

This invitation was a mock-up that actually never got used by the couple I originally designed it for, as they went with another option I designed. It was a little more bold for their taste, and I knew that as I designed it, but I wanted to give them a few traditional options and few more that were outside-the-box.

Marketing Tools: Tekgraf Letterhead

While rebranding Tekgraf's corporate look from a multi-colored rainbow to a more edgy black, gray and orange look, I also gave the letterhead an overhaul to give all letters leaving Tekgraf a cohesive and branded look. I also moved around some of the main elements from the old letterhead to give it a fresh and new look.

Banner Design: Trunkshow Banner

I had the opportunity to design a pop-up banner that was to be displayed in a clothing boutique. The idea was to advertise an upcoming trunkshow with as much style and flair as possible. I diverged from the colors of the boutique because it not only needed to pop, but needed to look authentic which required it to have a different look from the branding of the boutique.

Logo Design: Boutique Eleventen

The Boutique Eleventen brand and logo were conceptualized for a roadshow that was intended to demonstrate different print applications for businesses that printers might not be reaching out to. The idea was to create the atmosphere of a local but posh boutique where banners, wallpaper and other unique signage would be needed. I kept a tight color scheme and chose a contemporary typography to create the feel of an upscale shop.

Logo Design: Belmont Children's Hospital

Belmont Children's Hospital was an opportunity to design a logo for a fictious hospital for a roadshow that was demonstrating unique print applications in places that printers might not think to seek business at. The idea was to create a fun logo that was colorful and childlike, and to avoid the more mundane and traditional designs that hospitals tend to have in logos.

Logo Design: Sake & Sushi

Sake & Sushi is the concept of a restaurant created for a roadshow that was to demonstrate different print applications. I created the brand for this restaurant and started by creating a fresh, clean and modern logo to set the stage for the rest of the restaurant's look and feel. The goal with the logo was to create the feeling of a modern & posh dining experience.

Logo Design: Life View Photography by Sarah Faith

When a friend of mine asked me to take a look at her logo concept I was more than willing to take a look and offer my suggestions. I ended up taking what she gave me and pulling concepts from it and developing individual aspects of her logo into something new. She's an excellent photographer who is just geting her business started so I thought that memorability and clean lines would be the two most important aspects for this project.

Logo Design: East Coast Baptist Church

I was offered the opportunity to conceptualize a logo for a Church plant on the East Coast. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to design another logo and was excited with the direction the clients wanted to take the logo. Here are the final results that evoke simplicity, freshness, and the element of water.
